Spring Break Trip

The BSU left Columbia March 25, 2017 for Denham Springs, Louisiana. It was a 13(ish) hour drive although it felt like more. We stayed at a local church and worked every day for 8 hours to help with flood relief in the area. Thursday night we partnered with LSU's Baptist Collegiate Ministry and participated in their worship night. Friday was spent exploring New Orleans. We had around 30 students go and were excited to grow in our faith while serving others in need as an organization.

Our mission trip for spring break 2018 is TBA.

A group of students from the BSU left on May 14. 2017 and paired up with students from LSU and other SEC schools to Botswana, Africa. They stayed at a local Baptist Church where they helped with a soccer camp and vacation bible school. The students stayed in Botswana for 8-10 days then headed to Johannesburg, South Africa where they took a short break to sightsee and experience a safari ride. On May 30, they flew to Lusaka, Zambia where they worked with the Navigators Campus Ministry. Our students did rural outreach to a village in the countryside. They helped villagers with construction on their first flushing toilet. The students returned safely to the states on June 15.
